Autumn at the Lake

A painting inspired by the picturesque autumn season, which holds a special meaning for me, being the season in which years ago I moved to Australia. The texturized effect of this painting is realized mainly using palette knives. The earthy tones of the burnt sienna and the shimmering gold evoke the changing and the falling of leaves with a calm lake in the background and its rippling waters.
