Playfulness

When we take life too seriously, we can sometimes overlook the simple things that bring us joy. In this painting, I wanted to capture a sense of light-heartedness through the vibrant orange, red and pink background, playful bursts of colour and shape, white gestural strokes and soft grey sfumato. Creating this painting was a joyful experience; by the end, I felt content, energised and reconnected with that sense of playfulness.
